Dr. Purvi Shah
Dr. Shah earned her undergraduate degree in psychology/biology from New York University’s College of Arts and Science. Following graduation, she moved on to New York University’s College of Dentistry to further pursue her education. After completing dental school, Dr. Shah finished a general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, and then worked as an associate in private practice in Orange County for three years before opening Putnam Dental Arts with Dr. Patel.
Dr. Shah enjoys making an impactful change in people’s lives through both dentistry and education. She likes the fact that a career in dentistry allows her to achieve these goals while also maintaining a great work/family life balance. Around the practice, Dr. Shah is detail oriented and a perfectionist and is constantly making lists to keep things organized. She prides herself on being a nurturing presence with patients…always eager to share information so they can know more about their own dental health.

When she’s not at Putnam Dental Arts, Dr. Shah enjoys vacation planning, traveling, crafting, knitting, sewing, and digital scrapbooking. She is married with two children.
